right beneath the Spanish moss

Cassandra & Jon reached out to me about a small elopement in Savannah, Georgia where the ceremony would be tucked away in Telfair Square. Savannah is known for its natural beauty in its squares and streets. We started the afternoon off by capturing couples portraits in Orleans Square by the famous wedding fountain. The lighting and weather were both perfect and you could feel the love in the air!

Unique details

Cassandra & Jon opted to read their vows to one another privately right before the ceremony. It was a beautiful moment! Almost as beautiful as the Adam Driver cutout they brought! Cassandra is a huge Adam Driver fan, so their special day was not complete without him there. He even showed up in his best suit and tie!

Upon arrival, Jon was surprised to see Adam. But Cassandra was just surprised to see Jon's black eye! He had gotten a small black eye right before the big day. But no worries on their part, because Cassandra's officiant and best friend saved the day with makeup prepared. Who says grooms can't have some makeup fun too?

The ceremony

We then headed over to Telfair Square, where their family and friends were eagerly waiting for them. Everyone was so excited for the newlyweds and the square was just filled with an outpour of love and support. It started to sprinkle a bit during the ceremony, but they always say rain on a wedding day is good luck! Regardless, it was still so beautiful and the sprinkling rain even added to the intimacy of such a private, stunning ceremony.

Party time

After the ceremony, Cassandra, Jon, family, friends, and Adam Driver, of course, headed over to New Realm Brewing Company. Everyone ate, drank, mingled, and had an awesome time. What a perfect way to end a lovely, intimate elopement right in the heart of downtown Savannah, Georgia.
