Timeless & Classy

When Maddy reached out to me, she mentioned how much she loved the old Hollywood vibe. We decided that we really wanted to use Savannah's historic, downtown buildings to really show off their timeless look!

Columns and stairs galore

Formerly known as Ruskin Hall, the newly named Deloitte Foundry is home to the Savannah College of Art & Design, the art school where I actually got my BFA in Photography! SCAD has so many beautiful buildings, this being one of my favorites. When Maddy sent me her inspiration pics full of columns and metal detailing, I knew this was the perfect first location. As soon as Maddy & Dylan arrived I was in awe of their outfits! Talk about old Hollywood vibes, I mean c'mon! THE HEELSSSSS! If you're my future client and you're reading this-- feel free to take notes!!

If columns & stairs still aren't your vibe...keep scrolling!

I am a sucker for some pretty architecture. Thank goodness I live in Savannah because there is plenty of it to offer! Our next location was a little closer to River Street. This courthouse is one of my favorite spots. The columns and stairs are perfect for every kind of photo-- from prompted to candid to detail shots, you can do it all here.

What's a Savannah session without nature?

Right across from the courthouse are beautiful bridges with greenery and trees with Spanish moss all over it. We took a few photos there and then walked over to Reynolds Square to capture some more of the gorgeous foliage that Savannah has to offer. On our walk there, we saw a stunning building with metal detailing on it that screamed New York. As we stopped there for a few shots, Maddy & Dylan were able to get a taste of Savannah's hospitality when a random driver rolled down her window and yelled how gorgeous they both looked! Look for the last photo of this bunch to see their authentic reaction ;)

A filmy flash moment

One of the biggest trends in the photography world right now is flash photos with a filmy look to them. When Maddy told me she wanted to incorporate this at the end of their session with a bottle of champagne, I was so thrilled. I think these photos definitely felt like that old Hollywood style we were going for, mixed with a little bit of Savannah's southern charm. They put on their shades, popped the bottle, and celebrated on the timeless cobblestones of River Street! I always encourage couples to feel free to bring a prop to their photo sessions, because it typically turns out like this-- fun and carefree. I'll just let the photos speak for themselves!
